Earth

Gaia

This planet's long history has touched worlds across the galaxy, although its inhabitants are often ignorant of such significance. It is also home to one of the manifestations of Babel, making ownership of, or at least vested interest in, this small world a lucrative proposition to those who would risk the walk between worlds.

Special Interest

Second Generation

The kingdoms of Eden and Nod, while occupying an almost insignificant area of the planet, are home to some of the grandest schemes of the mortal world.

Third Generation

Empire City. This East Coast sprawl is a city of the future, rebuilt on its previous ruin by Technical Matrix, Incorporated. Many of the planet's greatest heroes make their homes here, as geneticism practically does not exist within the city's streets. Super powered beings are more accepted in Empire than anywhere else in the world.

The Academy is where aspiring, young supers learn to harness their gifts. Founded by the member nations of the Prometheus Project, the Academy is part school, part recruiting office. Academy-trained Avatars, with few exceptions, command the most lucrative security positions in the world's most powerful institutions.

Fourth Generation

A world torn. After the Cataclysm, the beings upon the broken lands struggle for life, liberty and, eventually, escape.

The Erth of tomorrow is the fate that the world's inhabitants have brought upon themselves.

What caused the Catacylsm?

Jul 17, 2022 19:11 by Matthew R. Hales

After the Last War and the nuclear winter that came with it, the Aevi returned and the violent joining of the pocket dimension in which they dwelt back into the Fifth Paradigm cracked the surface of the planet, resulting in a catastrophic earthquake. Magma splashed skyward and formed a new mountain ranged that separated the planet into what was once the Eastern Hemisphere, now the New Aev, from the Western. It would take both halves of the world a very long time to recover.

That would be telling!   I'm not yet ready to reveal those details, but you can get a glimpse of that future at https://www.mrhales.com/athenaeum/robigus. Content warning: violence, strong language
